TextMyGov Announcement

 

Duncan Valley Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce the launch of TextMyGov, a simple communication tool that allows members to receive important updates and access information anywhere using texting technology. This new SMS service makes it easier than ever for the community to stay informed through a reliable text message from the cooperative.

DVEC will officially launch this mass text notification system on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Members may receive an initial cooperative text message from 91896 from ‘DVEC’ to introduce the service. Participation is optional, and anyone may opt out at any time by texting STOP.

If you do not receive the initial message, you can sign up by texting the keyword “DVEC” to 91896. After sending the keyword, you will be asked to reply YES to confirm participation. Once subscribed, members may receive cooperative text messages related to outages, meter installation, billing. etc. Additional text message alerts may become available by texting a specific group keyword to 91896.

Members will also have access to information 24/7 by texting one or two keywords in your question to DVEC telephone number, (928) 439-4425. This option allows users to quickly receive a cooperative message with details about services, offices, community resources, and other important DVEC information. Next time you have a question for DVEC try texting this number to test out the service.

DVEC’s adoption of TextMyGov reflects an ongoing commitment to improving public communication using modern and convenient tools. This service will provide a more accessible and responsive way to stay informed about what is going on in the community and receive cooperative services. Many agencies nationwide are already using this texting technology successfully, and we are proud to offer the same benefits to our community.
